Handwriting
For many dyslexic children handwriting presents a challenge. They can have short-term memories and poor motor skills. This means they find it difficult to remember all the rules needed for creative writing and they also find it difficult controlling their writing implement. Some children have poor visual perception which leads to poor presentation, letter formation, and inaccurate letter sizes. Please note: poor writing is not due to lack of motivation; handwriting is not an automatic skill. It has to be learned and requires a great deal of concentration and perceptual-motor skills.
